Nanobot Guard

Useful in times of great danger, this nanoformula mobilizes all of your nanobots to stop incoming attacks, sacrificing them to preserve your own health. The efficiency with which the nanobots perform is based on the ability of your breed to control nanobots. Unfortunately, this nanoformula will also reduce your nano energy reserves to almost nothing after the shielding effect ends, as your nanobots will need to recuperate from their frantic exertions. You will not be able to use this if you have used Nanobot Shielding recently.

HOLY !"$%&!!!

Where to get this?
Forek 2006-08-29 21:01
Wow, now's that showing some NT love!
User Modify Nano attack damage modifier 150
User Modify Nano attack damage modifier 200
Does that mean modify nano damage 350?
Teiji 2006-08-29 22:36
That is how most people read it, but it's all speculation since the nano itself has changed significantly since it was on test.
Keex 2006-08-31 22:52
[Enlivenment of Nyaya] Cirte: You hit Anansi Disciple with nanobots for 24549 points of radiation damage.
seems it's percent O_o

ow, 30 min recharge?
Dalek 2006-09-07 10:35
Crap, no other temp dmg buff has this kind of nerf attached, advies one if a few minutes, agents too, enfos about 20s is it? NTs.....30 minutes....
Dalek 2006-09-07 10:36
I mean recharges, to be clear.
pusikas 2006-09-08 17:50
30 minutes? What do you mean?
Salvena 2006-09-09 12:40
Couple observations of the currently running version:
1) Nanobot Shielding had Damage Modifier AND Damage Shield, Nanobot Guard has just the Damage Shield.
2) Nanobot Shielding damage modifier appears to be 300% - Tested with Candycane, with a consistant damage/AC output, the new damage is ~exactly~ 3x the listed damage.
3) Damage Modifier from Nanobot Guard ~replaces~ all other Damage modifiers - Perks and Equipment (Ancien Matrix, ENhanced Nano Damage, Hood of Wicked Inspiration and Izgimmer Modified Cyberdeck (with or without Square Chip). So, if this gets changed, the damage modifier ~could~ go up. But still.
3) Using EITHER nano will lock out Nanobot Shielding for 30 minutes. Using JUST Nanobot Guard will lockout Shielding for 30 minutes - but you can use Guard back to back (as long as you have Nano).
4) Honestly, with perk nano heals, PNH and stims; the Nanobot Depletion is nothing to worry about. I have successfully used Nanobot Guard back to back to take minimal damage from boss and unique mobs and kept nuking the entire time.
furay 2006-09-17 13:28
not good enough... my account stays "canceled" for now.
jaserick 2006-09-23 10:43
how much credits for this nano?
Stern 2006-09-24 14:37
Untill FC lowers the time on the Depleted Nanobots nano that runs to something lower than 10 mins I'm not gunna bother. 30 mins is a slap in the face to all Nanotechs.
joey12344 2006-09-26 22:55
:o Im getting this

If a NT used all it's perks if might cope with 1 use of the nano, the second use you'd have nothing left, they all be in recharge, I find this comment completly made up.
sythoid 2006-10-06 06:27
Least it shows FC is trying..... they just need a push in the right direction
Loethlin 2006-10-17 21:34
with this nano, I own enforcers and keepers within the time needed for NS2 to stop running.
Mainly because the "nano shield" is not working for nanomages and i can only use the damage buff.

Engelen 2006-10-22 05:32
Make it 350% + normal effects and 15 min cooldown and you will have a growing NT playerbase. Not becouse it will be imba, but becouse it will be fun.
Whitey 2006-10-23 22:23
you have to put it into balance, how many ppl what your saying will be angry, and how many people will be happy...

"blah, with the new triple nukes from LE....and this.,,,I think NT"s need more nerfing now :P"
You aren't insinuating that they could be used together right? Because they can't last I checked.
Voriuste 2006-12-28 03:17
They can actually, only NS can't be used with the LE nukes
Venderim 2007-01-16 21:45
Nanobot shielding and Igzimmers triple insta-kills most people except enforcers with huge hp....although it can only happen once every 30mins.
slitheris 2007-01-21 02:35
So now NT's can insta-kill just like everyother profession. If you guys are so afraid of triple nukes, don't get flagged. or better yet... stay in backyard.
Shadow.ik 2007-01-21 20:21
I remember when NT was nerfed proffesion ...so WTF??
Rktim 2007-02-14 12:25
I think bouth nanobot guard and sheilding shuld cast defenive focus in your NCU -.^ ya know.. cuse it shuld...

Hmmm, lets see here
Can mp's insta kill? no
Can traders insta kill? no
Can engis insta kill? no
Can docs insta kill? no
basicly now nt's can instakill everyone since your almighty nukes ignore reflects and the damage is not cut down by half in pvp, like normal weapon damage. Would cry nerf but it wouldnt make even a little bit of difference.
220 nt's are the new gods of pvp who wtfpwn all profs. All hail the supreme Magicians or die in 3 seconds
bladedaemon 2007-03-15 20:34
well boo hoo.

you CANT survive the depletion, insane regen rules though i NEVER run near on my nano on a 110 opi nt... never mind a 220 who actually has nano delta and more perk nanos
Ilikebunnies 2007-05-09 03:07
Is everyone commenting on the wrong nano? It's "Nanobot Shielding" that adds 200% nanodamage. This one apparently just sets absorb to 90% - 80% depending on race.
Oddly, both nanos have the exact same description.
Am I correct in assuming that the only thing stopping you from casting this one whenever you want is the huge nano drain? It looks like just the other one (90% shield + 200% damage) has a 30 min recharge, and the other one will also stop you from casting this one.
Yakobo66 2007-06-07 21:54
the just shield has just the drain, +dmg has 30min charge
Yakobo66 2007-07-08 21:25
btw bunnies they both have the same comments too because they come from the same crystal ;)
Ilikebunnies 2007-07-19 14:56
RE: Yakobo66
Yeah I noticed.. confusing >_>
RE: Nook1e
Ofcourse traders, mp's, engis and docs can't insta kill! NTs, however, are supposed to be "glass cannons" and insane dmg dealers who die easily. I'm not really surprised that they can do more dmg than 4 of the lowest insta-kill classes in the game, especially considering how much (MUCH) easier NTs die.
tyrence 2007-08-05 10:17
RE: Nook1e
NT pvp damage IS cut in half. However, it is not checked against the target's ac's. In other words, the damage done is calculator as if the target has ac's.
tyrence 2007-08-05 10:18
*as if the target has zero ac's
Whitey 2007-08-20 01:46
O.O since when has nano dmg not been checked against AC? nuke something in SL :p
mahdi007 2007-09-21 10:23
so much misinformation in this thread..
Dumbarajko 2007-11-14 14:03
you get this nano by doing this quest

Voriuste 2008-07-07 14:14
Whitey, we're talking PvP here, only PvP nano damage does not check AC's (not sure about perks, but nukes definatly dont). PvM it checks AC's unfortunately.
Subwave 2008-07-16 10:56
with tripple in pvp you can make up to 90% target's hp.. depends on HP again :)
with double it's max 60%..
and it doesn't stack with nano dmg perks running or items.. it is just 200% of base nuke dmg
still fun to see vicinity like OMG WTF.. after using that on docs
Bezalel 2010-03-23 04:46
Damage 12892-17894(52728-73186)
Also another -12% nano vulnerability from Notum Overflow. Yet still I was hitting for 44k damage on a mob which confirms what Subwave says about NBS not stacking with anything. What a let down :o(. Thus you can match this damage using perks and items.
Moniker 2010-03-31 10:50
I'll sum it up more succinctly- If you really, really, really want someone dead, or you dont plan to pvp for the next 30 minutes, use nanobot shielding + triple for an easy instant kill.
If you are going to be doing pvp continuously though, use deck nukes, stay in defensive focus, and use nanobot guard instead of shielding.
Your general routine in pvp should be root, cast self illumination, cast detonation matrix, then start chaining izgimmer's ultamatium, with additional detos spaced every 10 seconds. If the enemy can break out of your root and get next to you, use nullity sphere first. If you cant kill them in those 17 seconds, then use nanobot guard, nano regain perks, and continue to hammer them. Once nanobot guard pops you will only have a few seconds till you get another nullity sphere. Just make sure youve got a buttload of nanopool, and that you keep izgimmer's wealth on at all times.
Agarwaen 2011-06-05 10:58
You hit Niveau with nanobots for 3225 points of energy damage.
You hit Niveau with nanobots for 6636 points of radiation damage.
You hit Niveau with nanobots for 6636 points of radiation damage.
