Nano Crystal (Enfraam's Perception Deciever)

Nano Crystal - Enfraam, himself, got word that a student had optimized his old program protocols and made a rather usefull program. In some circles this was seen as another mockery of his skills. This was unacceptable. He took his old program and optimized the protocolpatterns by 345%, creating a nano program which is now sought after by most Nanotechnicians. Enfraam's Perception Deciever is considered some of Enfraam's finest work. It will confuse its target's observation skills, and make it extremely difficult to engage targets far away.

Haha, long cast, big requirments, heavy nanocast, and all for -18 range?
good joke FC :P
Kinjara 2004-07-01 20:19
Maybe if it was AoE.
but single target?
might be an pain for nts in pvp / towers.
but was hoping for an more usefull nano.
Tzalloch 2004-07-02 03:36
It's breakable too. So you would have to recost it often to keep it running.
TehUber 2004-07-11 13:22
but it's got a level 211+ i think most people who do have it, can cast in less than 4 secs, level 220 2 secs as that is the cap
Beldaro 2004-07-11 13:51
Because i used to play it, for years. But then realised the profession that we're my mains were so broken it was meaningless (nt/crat). So i quit, but its still fun to check out what bones they throw to you poor saps that are still paying them money... and btw, this isnt funcoms website.
Beldaro 2004-07-11 13:51
were, not we're ^^
Remmance 2004-07-20 20:02
Given the 40m range on most SL mobs, the debuff will bring their range to what it was supposed to be lol.
dubur 2004-07-20 20:16
I can instant cast Kels wich has 6 sec cast speed on it at lvl 141, so a lvl 211 nt should cast this in 2 secs without any prob, and if you consider at pvp all soldiers using Perennium Blaster which has 25m range, that will get as low as 7m, but then again if they are using scope which most of them are, this nano is totally useless...
Chamaelo 2004-07-23 17:08
I can imagine -18 melee range.
Gng 2004-07-24 16:19
breaking every 4th hit or so :p
so thats what, 4.5s wasted then? sigh.. rather throw in an aoe
geargrinderx 2004-08-11 15:12
Well, at the very least it would make it slightly easier to run away :-P especially for melee users; given they'd have to be on top of you to attack after this.
geargrinderx 2004-08-11 15:14
Actually, I just caught that it doesn't effect melee users. So yeah. Useless.
Omikurita 2004-08-30 12:10
You just have to use it right. This nano makes actually sense of rooting ranged profs. So, if you fight a ranged fighter and cast range debuff, root, run out of his range, nuke , reroot, redebuf, nuke an so on you wll spend alot of time but will be virtually unkillable.
Omikurita 2004-08-30 12:13
Especially given the fact, that most Ranged profs dont have the anti root capacity of melee profs (set aside fixers, if they want) and high lev nt just doesnt run out of nano :)
Sypiken 2004-10-10 18:13
It is a nice nano if you know how to use it.
A high lvl NT buffed up will have 40 range. (Capped) That means he can kill you from great distance. And a agent wont have much of a chance that far away either when debuffed. Except if in FP \ Enf, then rooting is totally useless. =P
But, they shuld have made it better. For sure
Talien 2004-12-31 09:01
WTB a pointless nano....ahh heres one
Magnolius 2005-03-09 14:27
Its only usefull in solo kiting, in combo with self nano range extender. Problem is the stupid thing only last 3,5 min. Make it 30min and its useable in boss kiting.....
entropy88 2005-06-16 15:47

WTB a better description:
creating a nano program which is now only sought after by those few Nanotechnicians who are dumb enough to think this might be useful. Enfraam's Perception Deciever is considered some of Enfraam's worst work
Pung 2005-10-18 02:36
omfg, do you get payed to complain?
Want to try this against ranged.
Molotov 2006-01-17 17:30
i agree with Omikurita, just sparred with an org mate ma with bow (which has a good range)and if i had been able to cast this i woulda had another notch on my computer desk...
Unkerror 2006-05-14 23:34
people complain about nanos being "broken" or "useless" only because they don't know how to use them, just like people complain about Nullity Sphere being "broken" when its far from it
Teiji 2006-07-07 00:06
Does it really break after a few hits? A few people are saying it does, but the item doesn't mention the %chance to break as with roots and calms. And since NTs are professional crybabies, I'm left wondering if it does :o
Angryguy 2006-08-23 08:32
Chance of break on attack 25
Chance of break on debuff 20
Chance of break on nano 20
there's your answer
Whitey 2006-11-02 02:16
this nano is for PVP. quite possibly, they thought it'd be good for an NT in pvm, and then realised later they needed to nerf it with breakable effects. imagine getting rooted and then this, without the break chance... NT too far away to attack, and shit all you can do.
Shadow.ik 2006-12-10 22:31
This is another joke from funcom like Notum Repulsor perks
triggerzer0 2007-01-01 03:30
not to mention, that in order to land this you need to run NR debuffs first.
I'd rather just cast IU+izzy's triple and be done with it.
minusa 2007-01-23 13:33
18 weaponrange isn't in meters. it's %% of original weapon range. And considering many (if not all) PvPers run with yatamutchi+scope (+95%) or in case of artillery symbs set of symbs and scope (like +60%) - good luck downing range from 50m capped at 40m to 45m capped at 40m.
Dalek 2007-05-10 00:46
Even if it didn't only use 70% of your PM skill to check 100% of opponents NR, even if it wasn't breakable, even if it was insta cast...
All range users are way way over the 40m cap anyway, so they wouldn't notice.
Completly useless, seriously have no use at all, not even a crap use.
mtngoat02 2007-07-24 08:36
It needs a visual effect, like blinds/roots/snares/calms/stuns. And needs to debuff far more than 18%, but keep the chance of break for balance reasons.
Binarybot 2009-01-21 09:11
Just waiting for Izgimmer's version. He upstages Enfraam often enough. I could see it being 24% reduction, and add a blurred vision effect in pvp (most likely after the engine update to DX9)
Whitey 2009-04-18 18:40
Actually - has anyone tested this nano?
it might reduce the base range of nanos (so thinks like % range increasers wont make a difference if your base range is 1meter). It looks like a PvP crowd control tool..
Just speculation though.. No idea how it really works, wtb someone to test it
pyroathiest 2010-07-31 21:09
I was thinking that it might start at 40m, and reduce 18% from there, but I've never tested it out, so this is also just speculation.
