Improved Serene Sky

The adventurer attempts to put all enemies in the area into a state of deep tranquility. It will only affect those enemies that are not in combat mode. Attacking a creature in this state will break this effect.

Very rare loot from chests in sl dungeons (pen/inf I believe).

Hmm... It's not one of these "When in form of a ..." nano. Good :)

Scored one from an Adonis mission today. I had the difficulty set to hard.
Now I just need about 20 levels to be able to use it :-(

look for "Weird looking Serene Sky" in tinker tower chests. fetches a decent price ;)

After the recent patch (16.3 or so) this nano seems to not be working. It lands and the mobs get the glowy aura but still attack. Regular serene sky calms the same mobs without issue. Has anyone else had this problem?
Endemicx 2005-12-09 09:03
this has never been a calm. it is a pull nano, and one of the more interesting at that:
the main nano (hostile) lands on target, target gets aggro. this nano itself does nothing but spawn the two abovementioned aoe hatelist whipes, so all the mobs surrounding the aggro'ed target will not attack (although they're not calmed).
it can fail, then all the mobs affected by the failed aoe hatelist whipe will aggro you. if that happens, parrot out of their range, return and try it again: it *always* lands successfully on the second try.
a strange (and rare) nano for sure, but with the 40m range, it seems to be working as intended.

it's a calm! i saw a adv mezz a level 250 mob in pen mission
nomad1 2006-01-26 00:14
@Salovida2 this is NOT a calm
what you saw was regular serene sky

@ 12lettername
i've got same problems with "Improved Tranquility of the Vale"
aly 2006-05-09 01:54
When you cast this on yourself when a mob is fighting you, it has an equal chance of wiping the hatelist of the mob, making it walk away like you're no longer there.
Endemicx 2006-06-01 15:45
wow, that really works! tested on hordes of spiders in inf. thanks for the idea @aly! you'll get very funny looks when your ig friends realize you're able to whipe the hatelist of all aggro-mobs around you, just to area-calm them with impr. friend of the wild :D
philip 2006-08-19 05:57
Oh no! It crashed! The Crystal was totally useless - and crumbles at your clumsy misuse.
jeycihn 2006-08-19 20:02
This nano has nothing to do with mezz/calm as you would think, it's a wicked fun, but not so necessary part of an advees arsenal. Cast on self for vic hate wipe, works grt as pull nano esp. with it's range. But I would say you have a 15% chance of it screwin up. At ado hecks,I've asked my team, as an experiment, to stop hitting/shooting, then cast on self, it's hate list was wiped and sat there dumb for about 5 seconds. haven't tried with any higher lvl mobs yet.. O...it will calm, there is a chance, but very rare that it lands, more often on very low lvl mobs ofc. This is a fun one to have for sure ;)
Retracnad 2006-08-20 21:27
The "Calm" effect of this nano has a 150% nano resist defense stat meaning that the calm effect is usually countered where as the hate whipe is only 105% nano resist defense meaning it lands more

Steeplerot 2008-01-01 03:56
I still use this at dynacamps in inferno, I saw this nano for sale in playershop for 8m and figured wth.
Dunno how good it used to work but at least by second try I can "mezz" adds and run up and smakz0r boss and have him follow me away.
Been using it all day on dynacamps for the bosses at 255, and yes it works for heckler adds also like liminos and friends.
