Is it me, or the type of damage says "Radiation" and on the Effects shows up as "Cold" ?

Maybe an SL DoT (e.g. Frost Blades) override the nuke-damage type?

Nah, says radiation in the description (and the icon suggests as much) but the damage dealt is cold 1804-3234. Still, dont see why anyone would use this nano, since Biomolecular Corrosion requires only 17 more MC, does more dps (higher max with only 2 less min), and has a faster recharge. Same level req. Figured if you are going to spend 3m, may as well get the better nuke, right?
