eh consittering other classes get thier 140 buffs as early as like 120ish, this really isnt so good. Personally id just as soon go notum repulsor on a shade.
erineu 2005-11-28 19:16
notum repulsor, lol, a lot of your perk dpend on your piercing skill.... you gonna gimp yourself :)
Shojumaru 2005-12-22 13:47
Actually, as soon as you got your QL300 Kyr' Rapiers on, you can go notum repulsor. Lots of shades do it for PvP, since shades really don't have any combat nanos.
donger 2006-01-05 03:27
how ya gonna cast it after ur NRed? =P
12lettername 2006-01-06 07:57
The idea is you don't cast it, or anything else, and nothing lands on you. 140/3 = 47. Not too much of an offense sacrifice. And even without this nano, taking your ql300 rapiers on and off is no big deal.
Ayngel 2006-01-10 17:11
k now....serious question here.. why would a shade go NR for PvP? If you're NR-d, you're unable to buff yourself. Not just with this nifty nano, but with the other fun buffs Shades get like the hp/nano drain line (rawks in PvP, btw) etc, etc.. Where's the logic? O.o
Moniker 2006-01-12 06:52
You... dont get hurt with nanos? dosnt that make a fair bit of sense? :)
Ayngel 2006-01-13 16:29
Ok, Fair enough, but... If you can't buff yourself = you do less dmg = enemies live longer = more chance of them hitting/killing you. Right? :D
Mosene 2006-01-17 05:21
No that's not corect .. u can get OB'ed and shade's=Insta death at ganking ..
So NR it's actualy great if u think about it a lil'
Aldornaq 2006-01-24 10:52
What everybody is trying to point out:
It hurts other professions far more when they aren't able to use offensive nano's on the Shade. The Shade has it's perks, it's evades and it's immense damage and even without nano programs, the Shade will still do loads of damage.
Take for example Bureaucrats and Nano Technicians. They would be completely defenseless against a NR Shade. Or a Trader perhaps.
It's all about which your targets are and what you're aiming to kill in PvP.
troxnox 2006-02-02 13:15
yeah, also resetting piercing perks takes a tremendous amount of dmg away from a shade. it really depends on what you are trying to kill.
triggerzer0 2006-03-06 09:53
with mongo rage perks tend to land most of the time...
12lettername 2006-03-17 10:54
NR = notum repulsor. Maxing it means no roots, no snares, no calms, no stuns, no init debuffs, no blinds, no DoTs. Ever. Under any condition in any universe. With MR perks may still land, but then again you'll need 2 or more people to kill the shade, since shades can and do conceal themselves, and that first person is going down FAST. NR also has a couple badass perk specials. 1 is an uber DD, 1 stips the target of basically everything good in their NCU, 1 is a stun -900 nano init debuff, and 50% increase of fumbling their nanos. The last perk special is a 60 nanopoint debuff, and -1500 nano pool HoT. An atrox shade with NR maxed and MR would only have to fear another atrox shade with NR and MR. Also, you can reset the nanoskills, and get a bow or something instead for AS.
12lettername 2006-03-17 11:14
And as a follow up, you cast your MR fot +1K offensive and I'll cast evasive stance for +1K defensive and we'll see who dies.
Yakobo66 2006-05-24 20:36
or you could forget NR and cast on the 895 damage occaisional hit nano

NR does = god in pvp but, there is one nano that can root you. For good to.... Take a look at GM's root line :D
DevilsKnight 2006-10-19 19:08
I havn't tested this but; I still think a root graft will still land.
DevilsKnight 2006-10-19 19:10
I was talking about the whole NR thing by the way :P
jundede 2006-10-25 20:41
but WTH do i get this?
Yakobo66 2006-12-17 20:17
Nano Crystal space so should be rollable :p
Jornado 2007-11-10 10:32
roots from grafts still land no matter what your nanoresist is, as they don't check NR for grafts. also, there are several mobs that use stuns which do not check agaisnt NR. if FC wasn't paying enough attention, I'm sure there is a possibility that some perk stuns also do not check NR.
galantonp 2008-09-18 18:17
NR8 gives you 100% root resistance on top of the nano resistance
Vgman01 2009-02-14 10:36
Btw root graphs ignore NR >.>
Digitalkillr 2010-12-03 10:32
they dont ignore root resistances though
